These past couple of weeks have allowed me to really recoup after a such a stressful semester. Now with classes ending and finals approaching, I have found a new burst of energy.
My friend and I have been on a reading binge this past semester. I have read The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I will soon finish reading The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. Click here to read my review on The Lunar Chronicles. I will be posting my review of The Mortal Instruments in a week (I’m about a quarter of the way through the last book of the series). The book is picking up as is my reading time. I will probably procrastinate my studying to finish the book.
Book Journaling
Anyways, we have been cooped up for over a week and we decided to start a book journal. We saw a Tiktok of a girl who filled a notebook of photos and quotes of books she had read. It was beautiful and we found a Staples a mile down the road.
The following morning we walked and chose our notebooks. The remainder of the day was searching and printing pictures and then finding quotes online or in our books that spoke to us. Click here to get the journal that I bought.
This mini project got me excited to read more. There are always moments when I absolutely love a quote but I don’t do anything about it. I move on and then every once in a while, I will think on it again. It would make me reread the book that it was in.
Now, I can just write down in the notebook that quote and keep it easily accessible. When I want to reminisce on the book I can just find it quickly and let all of my favorite parts play out in my head.
