Another month is coming to a close so here are my New Years Resolutions updates.
- Workout 200x
I actually started working out. Not consistently but maybe 7 times total this month. Do I think I’ll make it to 200? Probably not but maybe I will create a healthy workout routine. I started using ClassPass which is an application that locations partner with so people can go to their classes through there. For example, I have gone to two spin classes and a Barre class. They have personal training sessions, kick boxing, or yoga classes. It based on a points system. You charged $90 a month and given 43 credits. Some classes ‘cost’ 5 or 6 credits, some even go up to 11 credits, depending on the time or how popular the location is.
- Eat out only 2x a week
This is going great. I do live with my parents but I sometimes by lunch for work or I’ll pay for a meal here or there for my parents. Overall, my spending in this category has really gone down.

- Wake up at 6am every day
I wake up at 5:00 – 5:30am for work Mondays thru Fridays so on the weekends I ‘treat’ myself to waking up a little later. But my problem is, if I’m in bed past 9am, I feel like I’ve wasted so much time. It’s a me issue, I know but I want to be those girls that get so much done before noon. I’ve done it before and I have always felt FANTASTIC afterwards.
- Stretch 5x a week
This is a no no. I have not done this. I think I’ve stretched twice and that’s pushing it.
- Blogging once a week
Thank god this is going good. I don’t always feel motivated to write a blog post but knowing that I’m committing to something and actually achieving it feels great.

- Start a podcast
I’m not going to start worrying about this until July. This is a problem for the second half of the year.
- Journal weekly
I was journaling pretty good in January but I dropped the ball this past month. At night is the only time that I feel like I have time to journal but I hate journaling at night because my thoughts are more negative at night. I don’t want to focus on negative thoughts so I need to find a better time to journal and commit to it.
- Travel to Portugal, Madrid, and…
T-minus less than two months until Portugal and Madrid. For the other trip, I might be doing Charleston for my birthday but, as always, we’ll see.
- Create & Follow a Budget
I’m lagging on this. I created a spreadsheet about my spending but I need to fine-tune the budget aspect of this which is where it sucks.
