I know we’re give or take a month into the year but I really wanted to think about my goals. I wanted realistic ones where I had a thorough action plan.
Reading
Last year my Goodreads goal was 100. I hit it but there were also moments where I couldn’t usher myself so that I made sure I hit my goal. This year I want to do more meaningful reading. What I mean by that is I want to take more time reading my books. I don’t want to rush and read for the sake of reading. So my reading goal this year is to read 75 books this year. It’s still a lot but 25 books less makes so much more room.
Writing
I finished my novel. I went through second and third drafts and now I sent it to some friends to read to get some feedback. The goal in this area for this year is to get a literary agent. A publishing contract would be ideal but I also know those things take time.

Mental Health
I started therapy last November and it’s going great. I meet with my therapist once a week and it’s wonderful. They’re really helping me with my anxiety and getting my life on track. I can’t promote therapy enough. So I want to continue going to therapy this year, continue making strides for my mental health.
Physical Health
I feel like this is a goal for a majority of people in the New Year. The way I’m incorporating my fitness is with habit stacking. I do it the first thing in the morning when I wake up. I have my work out clothes next to my bed to change into and then I do my morning stuff in the bathroom before I hop on the treadmill.
New year, new goals! I’m looking forward to see what this year has in store for me.
