My First Ever *Official* Book Haul

March 2021 Book Haul

Towards the end of March, my roommate, Olivia, and I went to Barnes n’ Noble. We had been planning this little excursion for months. I couldn’t have been more excited when the day finally came. I wish I could have bought more books but your girl is on a budget *cough cough* broke. Here is my book haul:

Lore

I will be honest and admit that I wanted to read this book because of the design on the cover. It just looks so cool and I didn’t even read the summary before I bought it. The cover is so bright and unique. I had heard of this book through Victoria Aveyard’s Instagram page. Once I was back in my room, I finally read the description on the inside flap. I’m still excited to read it. Lore kind of reminds me of a distant version of Percy Jackson series.

Circe

Circe has been on my list to read for over a year now. My friend had the book with her, but she attends a different university so she could never just hand it off to me. And then the pandemic happened and it stayed in her dorm room since she was effectively locked out. Now, a year later, I finally bought it. Again, I don’t remember how I got intrigued by this book. It might have been because it pertains to mythology and I just wanted to jump on it. The description was sort of a let down but my friend is adamant that Circe was a great book so I have hope.

Maybe Someday & It Ends With Us

I have officially jumped on the Colleen Hoover bandwagon. I bought these two of her books. I kept seeing It Ends With Us on Booktok so I looked it up on Amazon. Then I proceeded to go into a blackhole of Colleen Hoover books. I was just going up and down aisles at the store when I saw her books. It took physical energy not to grab all the books off the shelf. There were a lot of reminders to check my bank account because I knew I couldn’t afford it. I have most of her books on my list to buy. I already read It Ends With Us and there were so many tears. I won’t get too much into it because that’s what my book reviews are for. You can read all my book reviews here.

The Unhoneymooners

This is your typical enemies-to-lovers book. Again, Unhoneymooners was highly promoted on Booktok for a period. The idea for this novel seems so interesting and I am super excited to read it. I didn’t go into Barnes n’ Noble with the intention of buying it. I just saw it on the shelf and I remembered how promoted and loved it was on TikTok. My first thought was “I have to have this.”

This is my book haul and hopefully these books will last me until the end of the semester. I did also order Blood and Ash and Kingdom of Flesh and Fire from Amazon since the third book, Crown of Gilded Bones, is coming out April 20th.
