My Favorite Comfort Series’ Of All Time

stack of books on wooden stool

I realized recently that a post on what I like to reread is a great idea for a blog post. We all have books that we obsess over for the season. Then once we put it on a shelf it quickly becomes a collection of fond memories. I think underrated the books that continue to make our hearts pound after years and countless rereads. The same books that you know what lays ahead on the next page but you continue to read with anticipation or nerves in your gut.

Here are the books that I will continue to read as long as I am a reader:

Rosemary Beach Series by Abbi Glines

FANTASTIC series! There are fourteen books in this series and they go through different couples. Fallen Too Far, Never Too Far, Forever Too Far, and Rush Too Far follow Rush and Blair with plot twists that I didn’t see coming the first time. After them, each couple take two books, which is perfect in my opinion. After two books, I can comfortably part with a couple and move on to the next.

The Rosemary Beach series is set in a wealthy small town by the beach. Everyone in the series is in their 20s for the most part. Each couple faces different struggles and there are so many tropes like second chance, pregnancy, enemies to lovers, and friends to lovers to name a few.

I first read this series when I was 19 and I’ve reread them probably four times since then (I’m 23). It’s definitely one of my comfort series.

Sea Breeze Series by Abbi Glines

Abbi Glines has a gift. I have read most of her books and I am in love. The characters she writes are realistic and relatable. In this series, I feel she has even more of a variety of characters. I don’t think I will get tired of reading her writing, it’s just amazing.

The Sea Breeze series is another coastal small town but more middle class which, I think, is a reason that I can relate to this series a bit more because I can understand. The first book, Breathe, is about a rockstar named Jax Stone and a small town girl, Sadie White. It kept me on the edge of my seat until the end and was a great read.

There are nine books in this series, one book per couple this time. The epilogue in the last book had me crying and not wanting to say goodbye to these characters. I’ve reread this series countless times, if not all of them then whenever I’m missing a particular couple.

Marked Men Series by Jay Crownover

The Marked Men Series was a solid 4.5/5 stars. Except for one book, all of them were great. It follows a group of friends and a few extended people. The first book, Rule, is about a tattoo artist, Rule, and a preppy med student, Shaw and it’s a childhood enemies to lovers story. The banter and tension was great, and it only gets better as each book progresses.

One thing that I love about this series is that there is a spinoff and they bring back characters from the original series. I love that because I just get to see a glimpse into their life post-book and where they have moved on to.

I will admit, I don’t agree with the book covers so I just open them as quickly as I can and don’t look at them.
