Finally Free Of the Post-Halloween Candy

I wish I had taken photos of the piles of candy my roommates and I had leading up and after Halloween had long past.

One of my roommates, Olivia, had bought a bag filled with different kinds of chocolates––Kit Kats, Hershey bars and pour a little into a bowl every few days to make sure we didn’t consume all of it. Smart right? It was and it worked.

HOWEVER, after Halloween my two other roommates, Sophia and Rachel, brought in the big guns.

Rachel’s grandparents sent her a cute box, yes a box, with Santa’s face on all four sides. I stared at the full box of candy in disbelief. I swear Santa’s face was mocking us with all the ideas of health we had in our heads out the window.

But whatever, we all “sacrificed” and ate the candy. I would say a little more than half a week later we were finally halfway. I felt like I was seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

Little did I know there was going to be a traffic jam that halted that progress XD. Sophia’s parents brought her a huge ziplock full of more candy *face palm*.

Someone dumped the bag into the box and mixed up the candy. The Santa box was halfway before; now, there was a mound at the top of the box.

Olivia and I made a pact, stating that we had to get through the candy as soon as possible because we needed to have a detox before our planned Friendsgiving festivities.

Thankfully we finished the mission last Friday.

My mom tried talking to my about chocolate the other day and I told “please, I need at least a week before I can talk about any type of candy again.”

What’s your favorite candy?
